What exactly is a BradFest, you ask?
A 17-Year Tradition
It started 17 years ago, when several people named Brad found themselves working in the same department. Someone asked, “Why doesn’t one of you have a BradFest?” So one of them (the best looking one, I must say) did just that.

At the party, you’ll get a name badge that says, “Hi, My Name is Brad” (hence the slogan, “where everyone is Brad”). Yeah, it sounds queer, but it’s an incredibly effective ice-breaker -- if everyone is Brad, it’s easy to introduce yourself to someone you don’t know!

In the early days of BradFest, it was not unusual to have 200-250 party-goers and to go through four kegs of beer. To fund the party, we used to sell things with BradFest printed on them (see list at right). Eventually, we all got older, started having babies and slowing down (lazy 30-somethings!) and BradFest shrank. It actually disappeared for a few years (oh, those the dark times...), but it’s back now.

So if you are interested in having a good time, seeing friends you haven’t seen in a long time, and/or meeting new people, you should plan to stop by. The deck is covered, so the party will happen rain or shine.

We look forward to seeing you! Bradfest 2006

Favorite Stories
Possibly funnier at the party...
Beer & lightning don’t mix
At the first BradFest, Brad had to go to the store to buy another keg. While he was paying, lightning struck a tree 20 feet away from him! Good thing he wasn’t wearing his BradFest boxer shorts that night...

Rob is thin
Rob gets really thin when he drinks (ya had to be there).

Do not pass out...
At one of the BradFests, one guy fell asleep and his wife sat with him all night, protecting him. She had seen what our “friends” did to Brad at a previous party when he passed out. (Hint: it involved Cheetos, a zipper and a dog)

Food & Drink
Bring a dish to share and/or something to cook on the grill. We provide the drinks (for kids and adults).
